The Israeli Contact Improvisation Festival 2011

 
We are delighted to invite you to the 10th Israeli Contact Improvisation Festival, which we consider a groundbreaking step in the field of Contact Improvisation. This will be a forum where a diversity of international contact teachers and participants from all around the world will take part in. The Israeli Contact Improvisation Festival is the annual celebration of the Israeli CI community.
In the last 2 years we have transformed the festival into a community event,
it is now operated by the Israeli CI non-profit organization.The festival spans 3 weeks during which we will meet in different locations to dance, to observe, to learn,
and to meet each other. It is great opportunity to draw together dance and
a sunny winter vacation here in Israel.

You can join all 3 weeks or any 1 or 2 of them. Please take a few minutes to discover how the festival is organized and what's in it.
 
5 days of dance and people in a secluded countryside location, with fresh vegetarian food and communal sleep. Program includes intensives, classes, one to one, long jams, performances, outdoor dancing, great facilities of swimming pool, sauna and more.

For 4 days we will celebrate Contact improvisation in many different forms and colors:
• evening classes - tasting the diversity and range of CI.
• workshops of different lengths - going deeper with one teacher and one group.
• evening jams – experimenting, playing, expressing and meeting.
• Shabat (Sat.) Contact - Last day of Celebration including classes  performances, and a long farewell jam that will continue into a New year's eve. party.

Join us for 5 magical days on the road, as we visit Jerusalem and the amazing natural treasures of the desert. We will have an intensive and we will meet local dance communities and enjoy diverse workshops and jams.
