CLASS
SENSE MAKING
This CI class makes SENSING the primary focus of our meetings. Letting go of the necessity to act, to produce and to do something we rather tune into listening and surrender to what is there in between. I invite you to examine subtleties in weight shifts and falls. Like sinus waves we can discover peaks and valleys, dynamics of acceleration and deceleration. Suspensions as time giving turning points. We are aiming to meet the interplay of tension and relaxation, the known and unknown as well as (wanting to) letting go. Does it make sense?
The practice will find expression through improvisational tasks and partner exercises.
BIOGRAPHY
I am a freelance artist working as a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher as well as a stage designer and scenographer. I have been studying various dance forms and sports connected to dance since I was little. I received my Bachelor of Arts in „Contemporary Stage Dance“ in 2011 at the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz. My most present dance influences are Contemporary Dance, Axis Syllabus, Contact Improvisation and Cyrwheel. I am fascinated by the complexity of the human body (in motion) and its ever changing state of being. For me CI offers a wealthy playground of human communication with lots of spontaneity, immediate responses and adaptation and unpredictable challenges with the potential of Adrenaline rushes.
