Listening Bodies, Moving Relations

We begin by listening with the whole body.

Through breath, sensation, the support of the ground, and changes in weight and center, we explore how movement begins and continues in our bodies.

Through contact, we share weight and momentum with others. We explore pushing, pulling, leaning, releasing, and different ways of moving together.

We investigate movement dynamics through inertia, speed, direction, rotation, falling, and recovery. Sometimes we follow the flow, and sometimes we pause or change direction. Through our relationships with others, we discover new possibilities for movement.

Contact is not about depending on another person without question. It is a process of listening, choosing, and negotiating. We support one another while respecting each person’s center, autonomy, and freedom.

Through this workshop, we will explore how weight and touch can become more than physical challenges or techniques. They can become opportunities to discover freedom, play, and connection through movement.

Tomer -  Falling with Presence. In the first encounter with Beomgeon, the conversation was immediately flowing and fascinating. We communicated not through any verbal language, but through the language of weight, of directionality, of momentum, of fall, and of playfulness with all of these physical forces.
And so, in this shared encounter with you we will research and play with the same tools: balance, imbalance, contrabalance, directionality and fall. How can we control the fall and make it continuous and present? How can we control its direction, speed and softness? We will meet each other also from imbalance and fall, but we will learn various tools that will allow us to do so softly, and allow us to channel the partner’s direction and weight to balanced, pleasant and clear places. What kind of conversation is created from such an imbalance meeting, from a game with gravity?
